- November – contract won to place foam concrete in a redundant railway bridge in Ormskirk, approx. volume 450m3 over 5 visits. - November – contract won to infill a redundant culvert in Gloucester, volume 60m3. - November – contract awarded to infill a basement in a school in Accrington, Lancashire – volume approx. 34m3. - November – contract won to place foam concrete at Forth Street, Bootle, Merseyside in a redundant bridge, volume 600m3 over 3 pours. - October – Contract awarded to infill a redundant railway bridge at Fairburn Ings, Yorkshire, volume 200m3 in three pours. - October – Contract won in Nottingham to infill a redundant 900 diameter sewer, volume 45m3. - September – Metrolink Oldham to Rochdale project - Contract awarded to infill 3 redundant subways on Manchester Road, Oldham, the volume approx. 550m3. - Metrolink Oldham to Rochdale – extension of original contract awarded to infill a redundant bridge in Oldham with cement only mix, the volume approx. 1100m3. Also, to infill voids under pedestrian steps at Milnrow train station. - Little Bytham, Lincoln – contract to infill two large railway viaducts. The volume over eight visits will be approx. 1200m3. - GSFoam Concrete have purchased a new RoLine concrete pump to add to our existing fleet of pumps which will enable us to meet the demands of our increasing business. - Frodingham Viaduct – contract to infill spandrel arches in Scunthorpe. This job is to be completed during nights with a line possession taking approx. 100m3. - Metrolink Oldham to Rochdale – contract to supply 2,100m3 to infill 7 redundant subways. This project is to commence 6th July and will be completed by August 2011. - Railway platform extensions – contract for approx. 400m3 awarded to extend the railway platforms at Northampton, Preston, Lancaster and Stoke stations. Works carried out during the night with line possessions from Network Rail. - Lancaster University – contract to place foam concrete around new telecommunication junction boxes, pumping at times up to 130 linear metres to place the product. - Edge Hill Station, Liverpool – contract for emergency works to stop the track subsiding. Works are ongoing.
SAFETY ALERT GS FOAM CONCRETE DOES NOT CONTAIN IBA (INCINERATOR BOTTOM ASH)
Due to the recent trade press reporting on the issue of Hydrogen
gas being produced and subsequently exploding as the result of Incinerator
Bottom Ash (IBA) being used as a filler in some foam concrete mixes
we would like to assure all our customers that G S Foam Concrete
Ltd have never used and will not be using IBA. G S Foam Concrete
Ltd only use inert materials in there mixes.
